Catherine Seale, one of our members from Galway has asked me to let you all know about this very exciting opportunity for next April!See below for the full details from Catherine:
Work of Bobby Britnell
We are hoping to host renowned British Textile artists Bobby Britnell and Dorothy Tucker to give a two-day workshop each in Galway in April 2016. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from these two accomplished artists & teachers without having to travel to the UK! The workshops will run concurrently from 10am-4pm each day. Bobby’s workshop will focus on how to develop your own designs into textile art pieces, and Dorothy’s will show how Kantha-style embroidery/quilting techniques (all based on running stitch, so you don’t have to be an extraordinary stitcher!) can be used to create art pieces or quilt panels. A more detailed description of the workshops will be available shortly. A maximum of 16 places will be available on each workshop.
COST : €150 for two-day workshop, to include a light lunch each day
The workshop will take place in Inishmore House B&B, Galway, and you can book accomodation there separately: E-mail: email@example.com http://inishmorehouse.com
Both Bobby and Dorothy will stay here also. It’s a lovely, homely B&B located only a short walk from the town centre & the Salthill Promenade.
Places will be allocated on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.
If interested, contact Catherine Seale, IGE member, at: E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
