How to become a member of the Irish Guild of Embroiderers

Membership of the Irish Guild of Embroiderers runs from September to May each year.

Our AGM is held each May, when membership subscriptions are due to be paid for the

following year.   Each month we arrange for speakers from the textile industry to come a our meetings to share their design, inspirations and techniques. and these talks are open to the public. W also organise workshop with the visiting artist to learn about the techniques they used. We also plan a coach trip each year during the summer break to visit various exhibitions and workshops around the country.

On payment of your annual subscription, you are given a password to the Members Page where full details on workshops and trips are available to IGE current members.

The IGE Membership fees are €40 for Dublin members and €23 for country members, and  €20 for students. This fee includes a contribution to the library so that each member is entitled to borrow a book or two which is (are) to be returned at the next monthly meeting.

Yearly IGE Membership entitles you to attend the monthly meetings  (September to May) and for an additional fee you could  take part in our regular workshops.

Every two years the IGE hold exhibitions of work done by our members and annually we have a stand at the

Knitting & Stitching Show,at the RDS, Dublin.  The IGE  also send out a newsletter by email to our members about three times a year.
